DebiCheck is a new payment platform that has been created to combat fraud in regard to consumer accounts.
It allows you to electronically approve your debit order details. This will prevent fraudulent debit orders from being processed, giving you more control over your finances.
DebiCheck prevents
- Rogue businesses that were randomly debiting accounts with fraudulent transactions; and
- Consumers disputing transactions processed against their accounts, with the aim to manage their cash flow, despite the debits being legitimate.
What is the benefit of DebiCheck?
Your are in Control:
With DebiCheck, you will be in control of what debit orders are processed on your account. This means that, your bank will now know the details of what you have agreed to and will not allow your DebiCheck to be processed outside the terms that you have confirmed.

Important Authorising Tip!!
The bank allows you 2 working days to approve the mandate, the mandate will automatically expire after the time allocated by the bank, a new mandate will have to be initiated by the third party.

Do I get charged for maintenance?
As per the lease agreement, you are expected to keep your unit in the condition it was when moving in.
Tenants are charged for negligence and vandalism. It is best to check with your building manager if you will be charged for an item, when you report it.
Why do I need to report maintenance, whether for my cost or the landlord?
Failing to report any damage or problems in the unit, will be seen as neglect and thus it is crucial to report any issues on the online portal to remedy ASAP.

Why is it important to know and obey the rules of the Complex?
The upkeep of standard in all buildings require tenants to adhere to the rules to ensure safe and comfortable living for all residents
If I have a problem, who can I escalate it to?
You can go to the tenant services portal and click on the relevant department, which is debit orders, credit control, deposit refunds etc. If it is another issue, you can utilize the “other queries” option.
For Facility related escalations, you can contact the property manager for your building, the details are found on pinned files on the telegram group of the building.
What is subletting and is it allowed?
Subletting is when you charge rental to someone else on our unit / property. This is not allowed. If found, you will be evicted. Blacklisting of arrears are to the lease holder.
Who do I contact to arrange for my move out inspection.
Please contact the building manager to arrange a date and time. The Building Manager contact details are on pinned files on the telegram group.
How does the utilities system work, and how do we pay for utilities?
On moving in, you are given a welcome pack for the utility providers. Please follow prompts and instructions to register and also tutorials. If you still require assistance, please contact the Building Manager for assistance. Building Manager details are on pinned files on telegram.
Deposit refunds
Do I have to pay a deposit?
It depends on your lease agreement. If your lease agreement requires you to pay a deposit (usually equal to one month’s rent) then you will need to do so to occupy the premises.
What happened to my deposit?
During the rental period, your letting agent or landlord is required to place the deposit in an interest-bearing or trust account. Upon the conclusion of your lease, the entire deposit, along with the accrued interest, should be returned to you.
The landlord is permitted to deduct any outstanding amounts owed, as well as the costs for any damages incurred during your tenancy.
What documents are required for a deposit refund?
- Copy of ID
- Bank letter/ full bank statement (no typed banking details would be accepted)
What documents are required if the lease is under a company name?
- Copy of Directors ID,
- Company Bank Statement
- CK document
What documents are required if it is a dual lease?
- Both ID copies, bank letters/Statements if splitting a payment together consents from both parties and/or consent from a party ceding a refund with both IDs and bank letter/statement of the recipient
- Should the one party not consent or cannot be traced, an affidavit is required from the consenting party.
My co-lease holder passed on; what documents are required to claim my refund?
The following documents will be required:
- Letter of Executorship
- Letter of authority
- Deceased ID
- Estate late account
- If we don’t have all above, we require an affidavit
Why do you need consent to claim a deposit?
This is applicable to a dual lease or if you are not the lease holder (third party)

Can I sign a lease agreement for a fixed term?
Our lease agreement is a month to month
When does my lease end and when do I need to vacate the property?
All our leases are month to month and thus we require a calendar months’ notice.
How many people are allowed to stay in a 2-bedroom apartment?
4 people
How does your water and electricity work in your building?
Every complex has its own electricity provider, you can access the information on our tenant portal under “Welcome packs”
Can we sublet in your building?
Subletting is not allowed
How long does an application take?
Between 24-48 hours for feedback form Credit Vetting
How do we apply to rent a property?
All our applications are done online, after viewing the property the agent will ask for your email address and furnish you with a link to start the application process. It is a quick and easy process.
How much is the deposit?
We require 1 months deposit (equal to rent) but there could be a double deposit applicable depending the credit outcome.
I am retired, can I apply?
Our Credit Vetting requires monthly income to establish affordability, if you qualify based on your monthly income we can assist.
What happens if I/we have more than 1 car, in terms of parking?
Unfortunately, all our units only have ONE allocated parking. If you do have a second vehicle you will have to make use of visitors parking.
What is the process of submitting notice to vacate & deposit refund timelines?
One calendar month notice on our online portal and the deposit refund takes between 7 – 21 days depending on the condition of the unit and repairs required
